The Cutest Little Hotel in Tulum

There's no shortage of hotels and resorts in the cool, relaxed town of Tulum, Quintana Roo. There are long roads with a new place to hang your hat literally every 5 steps, most with restaurants that lead right onto a strip of fresh white beach. If you're looking for a slightly more local, bed & breakfast feel, a place like LiveTulum is right up your alley. It was such a relief to drive up to its bloom covered facade after a super aggravating immigration line in Cancun and an hour and a half ride from the airport.  It's the kind of place you can escape to after a long day climbing the Mayan ruins. Taxi drivers can be booked at the front desk and stay with you all day while you explore. All in all a great and affordable stay! Any other hotels in Mexico I should know about? White-washed walls and pretty details

The ΓΌber cozy rooms look over the spacious pool and lounge

I appreciated the old school safe (no code to remember) and the double sided mirrors by the sink. The Gorgeous pops of color were lovely to wake up to. Fun note: They have movie nights outside that you can watch from your balcony!

Details in the lobby and dining room

The hotel incorporates clean simple design with bright vintage finds like old curio cabinets, while paying homage to Mexican icons like frida kahlo. A yummy breakfast is included (cold cuts, YOGURT, fresh squeezed fruit juice and coffee, eggs and beans, that kind of thing). Eat at the tables provided or one of the lounge chairs by the pool.

The gorgeous Pool

Some suites have a wade pool that leads right out into the main swimming pool. Will definitely book one of those babies next time!
